Professor Germano Melissano is Full Professor of Vascular Surgery, Director of the School of Specialization in Vascular Surgery and of the 2nd Level Master in Aortic Surgery of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery in 1988, he specialized in General Surgery in and in 1998 he obtained a second specialization in Vascular Surgery.
During his training, he spent several periods abroad in USA, CH and DE.
He is the author or co-author of more than 400 publications in prestigious national and international scientific journals, of 17 books and 114 book chapters. His H-Index is 46. He is part of the scientific committees of the main international congresses of Vascular Surgery (Veith of New York, EVC Maastricht, IMAC Cairo, etc.).
He is co-author of the European Society (ESVS) guidelines on aortic aneurysm surgery.
Finally, he is a member of the main international scientific societies, such as: Italian Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (SICVE); European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS); Francophone Society for Vascular
