Biography:
Alireza Alizadeh Ghavidel was born in Tabriz, Iran in March 1969. He graduated from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 1994, continued his career in General Surgery specialty at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and received national board certification in 2001. He then immediately continued his sub-specialty in Cardiac Surgery in Rajaie Cardiovascular, Medical and Research Center located in Tehran, Iran, He was then hired as an Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery in the same center. Throughout the process, he has also successfully passed several post-graduate courses in Adult Cardiac Surgery between 2008 and 2011 at Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, UCLA Medical Center and Harvard Medical University in the USA, and La Pitie Hospital in France. He was promoted to Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery in 2014 and has been interested in valve surgery, especially aorta and aortic root, and minimally invasive surgeries.
