The Cardiac Surgical has a main interest in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery with more than
80% of valve procedure performed through minimally invasive approaches including multiple valve
procedures. A TAVI program has been established 10 years ago with 120 procedures performed every year
within the surgical unit.
The Unit is the regional Centre for Cardiac Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support.
