From 2004 he works as a cardiovascular Radiologist in S.Orsola-Malpighi University Hospital in Bologna.
He has performed more than 8000 advanced Cardiovascular CT and MR examinations developing a strong and specific experience regarding Congenital heart disease and adult cardiac and aortic diagnostic imaging He also developed an extensive cardiovascular interventional activity consisting mainly in endovascular aortic procedures (TEVAR and EVAR).
He has led an Imaging Follow-up Program for Acute Aortic Syndromes and he is one of the coordinators for the Marfan and heritable thoracic aortic disease Hub Clinic.
From July 2021 he is Chief of the Cardiothoracic- Vascular and Pediatric Radiology Unit- Radiology Department at the same Hospital.
He published more than 80 original articles on scientific journals and contributed to the publication of 8 scientific books.
He has been invited speaker at more than 100 Scientific Meetings and Courses.
He has been involved in more than 7 International Registries and Studies on aortic diseases. He is actually PI of Bologna Centre in the Valiant Evo study.
Revisor for European Radiology, International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, Italian Journal of Cardiology, Plose One, Cardiology in the Young.
Member of the Italian College of Radiology, the European Society of Cardiac Radiology and CIRSE. Member of the Italian College of Cardiac Radiology Board.
